Keys to the lodges

We were delighted with the delivery of our keyrings for our lodges from David at The Grain Attraction. David has a passion for working with wood and creating art, inspired by nature. This fitted perfectly into our ethos as we are surrounded by an ancient sessile oak woodland. The sessile oak is a tall tree that can mainly be found in natural woodlands. It is so-named because its acorns are not held on stalks like those of the English oak, but are attached directly to the outer twigs. It can form quite dense, single-species woodlands when left to grow. The greyish bark of the Sessile oak was used in the tanning industry which produced leather, which links back to our family history in Llanidloes where they saw the change from woollen mills into tannery factory’s. We have an abundance of nature that live and breed in our woods. Our logo is beautifully crafted onto the lovely oak keyring and is in keeping with our environment. https://thegrainattraction.com/

Llanidloes is kindly positioned for walking with waymarked trails eminating from the town in all directions. As such you are spoilt for choice with so much lovely scenery to explore. A circular walk makes use of the Severn Way long distance trail to explore the countryside to the west of the town. There's nice views of the River Severn and the River Dulas which also runs through the little town. There's several other good options for extending your walking in the area. You could pick up the epic Glyndwr's Way and follow it north west to visit the beautiful Llyn Clywedog. The lake is a great place for birdwatching and also includes a spectacular dam which is the tallest concrete dam in the UK. Also of interest are the peaceful woodland trails in nearby Hafren Forest and the Sarn Sabrina Walk which runs around the town.

This summer we received our first lodges on the park, which was very exciting. The three bespoke Dovecote from Prestige Homeseeker are well positioned on the parks first phase of development. With more than most the space in between each lodges was important to our vision of development. With newly sown grass lawns neighbouring each plot and the back drop of oak trees, the park was transformed in to a beautiful setting for anyone wishing to have a holiday home.
